Stunning Soapstone Kitchen Renovation

West Hartford, CT
Fabuwood cabinets in Frost paint were used to brighten up this dated, 1960's kitchen.  Stunning Soapstone was chosen to contrast the white cabinets.  Beautiful veining is seen throughout the room.  An x style wine rack stands out as a focal point above a wine fridge. This space offers plenty of counter top for meal prep and work space.

Historic Deep River Kitchen Renovation

Deep River, CT
This beautifully kept home, built in 1823, needed to have a kitchen fit for the 21st Century. Candlelight Cabinetry was used in a flushed inset Chatham Shaker door, painted Aurora White. Paired with durable Quartz to mimic a traditional marble look. This room had an existing fireplace that needed to be showcased in the eat-in dining area, along with a half bath at the end of the room. Lots of storage and counter space was added to make this space truly functioning. A small window seat was added in the foyer nook (the grandchildren's favorite spot). We think this kitchen fits nicely with the bones of this historic home while making the space fully functioning for modern living!

Flagstone Colonial with Midnight Blue Island

Colchester, CT
This Colchester Colonial, built in 1994, was ready for a face lift.  A dark, heavy kitchen was removed and replaced with Candlelight Cabinetry in Flagstone colored paint, and an island in Midnight Blue.  Aria Viatera Quartz was used on the countertops.  The colonial bones of the home are highlighted in this custom kitchen.

Modern White Kitchen with a Blue Island

West Hartford, CT
This West Hartford home built in 1963, was in need of a complete kitchen renovation. Down to the studs, it was opened up to provide a larger kitchen with an additional custom banquette seating area for an eat-in space. Candlelight Cabinetry was used in Snowflake White with a custom colored blue island. Ice Lake Pental quartz countertops were chosen to pair with the cabinets.

White Waterfall Kitchen

West Hartford, CT
This beautiful kitchen was designed for a super busy family in West Hartford, Connecticut. With the daily duties of a large family, a functional island was a must! This island is the heart of the home, but a true workhorse indeed. It houses a microwave, dishwasher, a double sink, trash pullout, and seats four. A Quartz waterfall countertop with a mitered drop edge makes the island a stunning art piece as well. Adding to the unity of the white kitchen, matching wooden refrigerator panels were constructed and installed.

Classic White with a Touch of Contemporary Kitchen

Hebron, CT
This classic white custom kitchen has a touch of contemporary undertones. The thick mitered edge countertop in Coastal Surf granite and the wrought iron tree corbels are a real statement piece! A half wall was removed to really open up the space and an added cabinet in the dining area adds a nice transition from the kitchen.

Taj Mahal Kitchen

Hebron, CT
These friends wanted to open up their kitchen and utilize more space in their home. They also loved the look of wood, so wanted to keep some element of natural wood in their kitchen. Choosing a deep beautiful Cherry island brought that natural organic element into the kitchen. We worked with Candlelight Cabinetry to pair the Cherry tones with a painted cabinet in Flagstone. Taj Mahal was the perfect choice for the granite countertop, unifying the space.

White and Bright Kitchen Remodel

West Hartford, CT
We gave this kitchen a white and bright makeover in order to really accentuate the space they already had while also playing up the natural light spilling in from their multitude of windows. They loved the look and so do we!

Colonial Blue Kitchen with Marble Baking Area

Hebron, CT
We love this colonial blue coloring for these beautiful custom cabinets. It gives a cozy, traditional feel without being too dark. We also think it plays nicely with the beautiful countertops we installed!

Rustic meets Modern Kitchen

Salem, CT
This open concept kitchen pairs a rustic log beam home with a modern white kitchen. A large work-horse island is centered in the room housing lots of storage and a microwave.

Flagstone Open Concept Kitchen Renovation

Hebron, CT
This open concept kitchen was renovated using Candlelight Cabinetry, Chatham Shaker door style in Flagstone paint. It paired beautifully with Coastal Surf and Steel Grey leathered granite. Leathered granite adds a nice textured element to any kitchen.

Middletown Clean and Crisp White Kitchen

Middletown, CT
Matthew Modglin worked with this lovely couple to design and create their dream kitchen. The layout was opened up to reveal the beauty of this clean, crisp space. An ideal space for cooking and baking with an abundance of counter space.

Workspace is King Kitchen

West Hartford, CT
For this space we wanted to make sure that the clients had all the workspace for prepping and cooking they needed. We worked diligently to provide that while also maintaining a clean, modern design that they loved!

Golden Elevation Kitchen Project

East Hampton, CT
Different levels of cabinetry adds a nice design flare and also makes the appearance of a taller space. Removing the sofit allowed us to bring some of the cabinets to the ceiling, giving an elevated appearance, an architectural flare. The cabinetry used was Candlelight Maple painted Cappuccino with a Mason glaze, and the island is Maple Driftwood stain and a licorice accent. The cappuccino paint color gives this kitchen a warm golden feel that matches nicely with the decor of this colonial home.

Walnut Island Kitchen

Montville, CT
We love how the countertops create a sense of motion while the sleek and white design of the cabinets create a bright and open feeling simultaneously! This remodel is a true show of what your kitchen has the potential to become. We think it's a great example of that WOW factor!

Glastonbury Open, Airy Kitchen Project

Glastonbury, CT
The first thing to catch your eye in this dramatic remodel is the change in style. However, the most important change was actually to the layout. When the fridge was opposite the sink it seemed to swallow the entire room. This also provided very little counter space next the the cooktop. By swapping the location of these two items, the space becomes much more open and efficient.

White + Black = Classic Kitchen

Colchester, CT
You can't go wrong with a classic look. At least, that's how we feel at Kitchen Living. By combining these two elements we designed a classically inspired space with the range of motion and movement often associated with more modern kitchen spaces.

North Hampton Custom Painted Gray Kitchen Project

Northampton, MA
The butcher block counter adds rustic appeal and warmth to this kitchen. But did you know this project saved thousands of dollars by using butcher block on the island instead of choosing marble throughout?

Flagstone Cabinetry with Walnut Island

Wallingford, CT
We're loving this finished remodeling project. By adding new Flagstone Cabinetry and a gorgeous walnut island, we think this has truly brought this kitchen back to life and into the full swing of things.
